What do I need to know about Drop-off and Pick-up?

Spectators are now allowed in to the facility

Participants aged 2 - 3 in Parent & Tot classes must be accompanied by an adult into the facility, who stays for the duration of the class.

 

It is critical that participants be punctual in arriving for class, and that they are picked up promptly at the end of class.

What should my child wear?

Long hair must be tied back. Girls should wear a one-piece bodysuit (no skirts attached). They may wear shorts or leggings on top. Boys should wear fitted shorts and a t-shirt. No jewelry is permitted, except stud earrings. Plantar warts (on the bottom of the foot) should be securely covered prior to class. Wearing a face mask is optional.

What should my child bring to class?

Please bring with you:​

  • Hair tie (if you have long hair)

  • Appropriate gymnastic clothing (body suit for girls, tight fitting shorts and t-shirt for boys and girls)

  • No hoodies, jewelry (inc. dangling earrings or hoops), chewing gum or baggie clothing

  • Hand sanitizer (optional)

  • A face mask (optional)

Where can I purchase a bodysuit?

Bodysuits may be purchased at any dance supply store. They may be sleeveless, short sleeve, or long sleeve and any color is fine!

​

Should my child bring a water bottle to class?

No, water fountains are available at the gym.

​

Do you offer a twice a week discount?

Yes, we are now offering a twice-a-week discount: 20% off of the second days fees! After registering for twice a week online, you must contact the office to have the discount applied before making payment. Note:  Kids attending twice a week only receive their twice-a-week discount - they are not eligible for the 10% sibling discount..

 

What are the class ratios?

 Our current ratio for Kindergym (4 & 5 years) is 6:1. The current ratio for Instructional & Teen (age 6 & over) is 8:1

Do you issue progress reports?

Yes, we are now issuing progress reports again. These are issued at the end of the session.

What do I need to know about Parent & Tot classes?

We ask that the parent / adult accompanying the child into class stays consistent from week to week. Please note that shoes and cell phones are not permitted in the gym during classes. 

​

Do you offer make-up classes?

No, we do not offer make-up classes for any reason. However, we do offer 1 complimentary make-up class at the end of the session for Kindergym (4-5 years) and instructional classes (6-11 years). Sign-ups are on a first come first serve basis.

Do you offer trial classes?

Trial classes are permitted upon request. Please contact the office for details. 

​

When do I register for the next session?

Registrations for the Fall session generally begin in May, and registrations for the Winter/Spring session generally begin in November. Spaces must be guaranteed with a $75 deposit at the time of registration, with the remaining due 1 week before class. 

​

How do I know when my child is ready for competitive?

Kids that show exceptional strength, flexibility, aptitude, and dedication towards gymnastics may be invited for a competitive tryout. Tryouts take place in June each year.

​

What is the G.O. Fee?

The Gymnastics Ontario fee of $42 is payable once per year. It is an insurance fee that expires in June. If it is paid in the 1st session, it is not payable again in the 2nd session. If paid for Summer Camp, it is not payable for sessions 1&2.

What happens if my child misses a class?

There are no credits or refunds for missed classes.

​

How do I register?

All registration must be done electronically through our registration portal with Studio Director, with payment via e-transfer. Access the portal through the Register Now! button on each Program page.

​

There are 3 easy steps to register (registration will only be considered complete once all three steps have been completed):

1) Returning members:  Log into the registration portal using the email address that we regularly communicate with you through. If you are registering through the online portal for the first time, use the "forgot my password" feature to set up a unique password. If you have registered through the portal before, use the password you previously set up. Once you log in, make any required changes to your contact information, and accept all required sections of the posted waiver. PLEASE DO NOT SET UP A NEW ACCOUNT IF YOU ARE A RETURNING MEMBER.

    New members: Set up a new account through our registration portal. Once you log in, complete all required fields, and accept all required sections of the posted waiver.

2) Select the programs you would like to register your child(ren) for, and "checkout". 

​

3) Follow the steps at checkout and sign the wavier, and then send the $75 non-refundable deposit or the full program fee via Interac e-transfer to vaughangym@gmai.com

 

What methods of payments do you accept?

We are only accepting Interac e-transfer or exact cash as payment.

Do you issue Child Fitness Tax Credit receipts?

Beginning in 2017, the Child's Fitness and Arts Tax Credits have been eliminated by the Federal government.  Receipts for programs such as gymnastics can no longer be claimed when filing your taxes.
