FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
Club protocols, policies and procedures have been heightened and modified due to COVID-19. Brief answers are provided below, however, for a full description of protocols, and a comprehensive answer to any questions you might have, please refer to our Return to Play Handbook or the Covid-19 Info page.
What do I need to know about Drop-off and Pick-up?
At the moment, spectators are not allowed inside the facility. All participants must be dropped off and picked up at the door.
Exception: Participants aged 2 - 3 in Parent & Tot classes must be accompanied by an adult into the facility, who stays for the duration of the class.
All participants / families should self-screen before coming to class each day. Each participant will be asked to verify at the door that they have self-screened and are asymptomatic - a parent is required to be present at this screening. It is critical that participants be punctual in arriving for class (doors will be locked 5 minutes after class has started), and that they are picked up promptly at the end of class.
What should my child wear?
Everyone must wear a mask at all times while inside the facility (this includes during class). Socks are required for everyone entering the gym, and long hair must be tied back. Girls should wear a one-piece bodysuit (no skirts attached). They may wear shorts or leggings on top. Boys should wear fitted shorts and a t-shirt. No jewelry is permitted (exception: stud earrings are ok). Plantar warts (on the bottom of the foot) should be securely covered prior to class.
What should my child bring to class?

Where can I purchase a bodysuit?
Bodysuits may be purchased at any dance supply store. They may be sleeveless, short sleeve, or long sleeve and any color is fine!
Should my child bring a water bottle to class?
Yes. All participants should bring a water bottle to class. Water bottles should be clearly labelled. The water fountain will not be in use.
What are the class ratios?
Class ratios will depend, in part, on current Government of Ontario rules regarding cohort size. Our current ratio for Kindergym (4 & 5 years) is 6:1. The current ratio for Instructional & Teen (age 5 & over) is 8:1
Do you issue progress reports?
Yes, we are now issuing progress reports again. These are issued at the end of the session.
What do I need to know about Parent & Tot classes?
Due to current regulations in regards to contact tracing and consistency of cohorts, we ask that the parent / adult accompanying the child into class stays consistent from week to week. Please note that shoes and cell phones are not permitted in the gym during classes. Parents are required to wear socks and masks throughout the class.
Do you offer make-up classes?
No, makeup classes are not offered for any reason.
Do you offer trial classes?
In order to keep class configurations and sizes consistent, and to maintain the government mandated number of individuals inside our facility, trial classes will not be permitted.
When do I re-register for the next session?
Re-registration for the next will take place shortly before the end of the current session. Spaces must be guaranteed with full payment at the time of registration.
How do I know when my child is ready for competitive?
Kids that show exceptional strength, flexibility, aptitude, and dedication towards gymnastics may be invited for a competitive tryout. Tryouts take place in June each year.
What is the G.O. Fee?
The Gymnastics Ontario fee of $40 is payable once per year. It is an insurance fee that expires in June. If it is paid in the 1st session, it is not payable again in the 2nd session.
What is the Refund Policy?
No refunds are offered after the second class. A $75 admin fee is charged for all eligible refunds. The Gymnastics Ontario fee is non-refundable. Click here to see our Covid-19 Refund Policy.
What happens if my child misses a class?
There are no credits or refunds for missed classes.
What happens if the Club has to close due to COVID-19?
Refunds will not be issued for gym closures including, but not limited to, storms, power outages, heating failures, outbreaks, floods, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the Club is required to shut down during the 2021/2022 season, refunds/credits will be available for classes affected by the closure. Click here to see out Covid-19 Refund Policy.
How do I register?
NEW!! All registration must be done electronically through our NEW! registration portal, with payment by e-transfer. Access the portal through the Register Now! button on each Program page.
There are 3 easy steps to register (registration will only be considered complete once all three steps have been completed):
1) Returning members: Log into the registration portal using the email address that we regularly communicate with you through. If you are registering through the online portal for the first time, use the "forgot my password" feature to set up a unique password. If you have registered through the portal before, use the password you previously set up. Once you log in, make any required changes to your contact information, and accept all required sections of the posted waiver. PLEASE DO NOT SET UP A NEW ACCOUNT IF YOU ARE A RETURNING MEMBER.
New members: Set up a new account through our registration portal. Once you log in, complete all required fields, and accept all required sections of the posted waiver.
2) Select the day(s) and time(s) you would like to register your child(ren), and "checkout".
3) Send us payment via e-transfer to secure your spot. Payment is due in full upon registration. There is no security question or password required. Spots will be held for 24 hours, pending receipt of your e-transfer.
IMPORTANT: If you are registering your child(ren) for twice a week, please contact the office to confirm the final amount payable, as the system can not apply the multi-class discount
*If your family has a credit with us, your credit will automatically be applied at checkout.
What methods of payments do you accept?
We are accepting only e-transfer as payment.
Do you issue Child Fitness Tax Credit receipts?
Beginning in 2017, the Child's Fitness and Arts Tax Credits have been eliminated by the Federal government. Receipts for programs such as gymnastics can no longer be claimed when filing your taxes.
